Making a C++ fishing bot

I see a lot of autoit/ahk scripts for fish botting, but I'm currently working on a C++ version that will work between updates. I've run into the issue in sending a keystroke to the window while backgrounded though. Does anyone know of a working method to send a key stroke and key click in C++ to Trove while it is in the background?

I've got inventory reading, movement, fishing detection already done. Only thing left is to find a method to send a key stroke in the background :/

I can't help in this issue, but do you just not know how to do it or is it a problem that you are only encountering with Trove?

I actually ended up looking at an older AutoIt source code to see how that was sending a keystroke to Trove in the background. Ended up getting it working
