Hey guys i need to do a project for school and i need to create a video and what is the best free video editing software out there i can use

It you need it for a once off, then I would suggest getting a free trial of Sony Vegas Pro. And if you need it after for more there are ways around the trial limit.

It'd be a lot easier to suggest you a specific software if you gave us more to work with, like what the project will have, effects and stuff like that.

Since some of you suggested Sony vegas, I'd say it is good, but if the project requires a lot of effects, then After Effects is more useful that sony shit will ever be.
