It's shit, I know. Just as Samsung were getting good at the phone business too.

and (this is arguable but) OnePlus is known and trusted by now. Their busness model really gave them a head start and a lot of people are using them rn.
I have an after market beta ROM.
So it's not the official, however it's stock but debloated.
I've heard of this so called battery drain.
Have you tried flashing a custom rom for it? (May void software warranty and will also make it so you can't update android from your phone)
With the increased screen the 3600mAh only really translates to an extra 0.33% battery increase. As the bigger screen requires more power.

XDA has anything you could ever need for your phone flashing etc.
The OnePlus seems alright, but the S7 camera and IP-certification just makes it so much more interesting.
All data just means app-data etc usually unless you format.
Your SD-Card and internal memory will be left as it is.
If you learn how to make roms then there's ways to bypass the Samsung pay block, the rom I have now allows me to use private mode although it's knox tripped.
No physical button tear, I do dislike the curve bullshit going on.
However, optical fingerprint sensor, in the screen most likely. That's just.. Yes.
Yeah after giving this a read, I'm probably gonna switch to an android to be honest, apple products are so aids.
You have the Exynos model.
The snapdragon model is absolute dogshit when it comes to performance and battery life.
The Exynos 8890 is significantly better than SD 820 all-around. The gap between the two is several generations apart.
Qualcomm tweaked the SD 820 for Geekbench 3.0, which isn't a good metric for real-life performance.
On GB 4.0, which is more relevant to real-world performance, the SD 820 fell behind Exynos 8890 significantly (Both in single and multi-core). This is very shameful because with only 4 cores, the SD 820 should have bigger cores, and thus higher single-core performance than the 8890, which is using 8 smaller cores.
The 820 also throttles quite heavily compared to the 8890.
This is why the Exynos 8890 S7 gets significantly better battery life (Better standby time + 3-4 hour more SoT) and has no hiccups during day-to-day operations.
The best way to see the difference is to use both versions.
Qualcomm got too complacent with their LTE modem patents and they fell behind on their SoC designs.

So is basically a custom ROM as i've said.. i also have a ROM on my s7 edge but not this one..
According to the tests there's a good difference anyway.. i've chosen the edge version for the bigger battery, the curved sides are useless at 90% but make the design 100 times better IMHO..
