[TUT]How to change or switch glove textures(simple)

Steps to changing the textures on your gloves or changing the gloves you have to another type.

Here's the link to why06's tutorial which is very useful! -

1 . Open RezXtract from why06's tutorial for .REZ Editing

2 . Find the location of the CHAR_T_HAND.rez in your Game folder located in your Combat Arms Directory

3 . Click it and press open on the bottom right of the window

4 . A list of .DTX files will pop up, just close the window and the rest of the files will be extracted to a folder in your Game directory named CHAR_T_HAND

5 . Open it up with photoshop and if the extension file format is not supported, go to why06's tutorial and download the plugin's to put in your ADOBE PHOTOSHOP directory in the right places

*Please note that you will need to use DTXConvert from why06's tut to convert the dtx files to lithtech so you can open them with photoshop*

6 . ( IF YOU WANT TO SWITCH THE TEXTURES OF THE GLOVES )
Go check through the files and check which glove texture you would like and drag it to a any folder, rename them vice versa

7. ( IF YOU WANT TO EDIT THE TEXTURES OF THE GLOVE )
Open up Hand_00_00(if your asian) and draw on it Or if you have another glove or race, find it

8 . Convert the files back to Nexon format using DTXConvert

9 . Open up RezInject from why06'a tut and find the same rez file from before "CHAR_T_HAND" and press open

10 . Go back to the folder where you saved the DTX files you changed and and add both of them and press Inject on the bottom, if it fails and the status for the files says not found, you chose the wrong Rez file, make sure on the top, it says CHAR_T_HAND and the directory following it

11 . Go back to the Game directory and you will find a file called "CHAR_T_HAND.rezNew", name the regular rez "CHAR_T_HAND.rez" to "CHAR_T_HAND.rezBAK" and the .rezNew file to "CHAR_T_HAND.rez" Whenever something screws up in the glove textures, you can always use ol' .rezBAK

12 . Go play and enjoy the textures!

well, some choobs are inspired to make some of their own gloves because they see very nice examples and see for themselves of what they can make
