Wrong. IW and Activision are separate companies, Activision can't fire anyone outside their company.

New 'Call Of Duty' Coming In 2011 From 'Dead Space' Devs- title
There's a lot going on in the world of "Call of Duty" today. Earlier, in a shocking turn of events, the two studio heads of Infinity Ward were dismissed by Activision, and it's likely to be related to the news that's been released today, dealing with the future of the "Call of Duty" franchise.

Activision announced today that, in addition to two "Modern Warfare 2" map packs and a full retail release from Treyarch later this year, there will be another "Call of Duty" franchise coming in 2011, and it won't be developed by Infinity Ward.

Sledgehammer Games, formed by former members of EA's "Dead Space" development team, will be helming a new "Call of Duty" game, which is said to bring the franchise into the action-adventure genre. That sounds like marketing speak for 3rd person shooter (ala "Splinter Cell"), but that's just me speculating.

Worth noting that this doesn't rule out the possibility of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" coming in 2011, and that it's still possible that Infinity Ward will develop that title, but given the recent shake-up over there, it's doubtful we'll be seeing the return of Soap McTavish anytime soon.

In addition to the new game announcement, Activision has started a new business group to handle all "Call of Duty"-related franchises under one roof, in an effort to protect what has become a very lucrative franchise for the company.

I hate IWnet and their system!
I want to play with 8 of my friends and there is just one play mode you can use for this... We have such big problems to play together. Everytime one or more get kicked or have other connection problems...
I want a new system for CoD MW2 ...

Want to say, group play is nearly impossible for us !!!

Infinity Ward Founders Suing Activision Over Unpaid Royalties

Jason West and Vince Zampella, the men at the centre of this week's drama at Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward, have filed suit against Activision over claims they are owed "substantial royalty payments".

"Activision has refused to honor the terms of its agreements and is intentionally flouting the fundamental public policy of this State (California) that employers must pay their employees what they have rightfully earned," said the pair's attorney, Robert Schwartz, of law firm O'Melveny & Myers. "Instead of thanking, lauding, or just plain paying Jason and Vince for giving Activision the most successful entertainment product ever offered to the public, last month Activision hired lawyers to conduct a pretextual 'investigation' into unstated and unsubstantiated charges of 'insubordination' and 'breach of fiduciary duty,' which then became the grounds for their termination on Monday, March 1st."....

Activision seems to slack with games. They get them on the market fast, wait maybe two years and if they are not "successful" they'll end up dumped, patches and support go down the drain. Just look what happened to RA3.

Oh well, cant wait to get my hands on Bad Company 2!

Oh god no, please dont say that ur hoping for a MW3 with matchmaking servers again? goddamn i did do a emo suicide if that did happen S: Hopefully if someone else makes it, it will hopefully be with dedicated servers on it but if not all you can do is stick to Battlefield Bad Company 2.
