My cousin works for Amazon and delivers packages and he told me that everytime someone refunds or anything where they don't receive the package, he gets a 'concession' aka £20 taken off his wage. So yes, in most cases the delivery man does get fucked over a tiny little bit. Between 110-140 packages each day and there's bound to be a few that get refunded/lost/something else so that gets taken from his wage.

In U.S there isn't anything deducted but there's a point system and if there's too much, amazon fires you basically. UPS however will almost never get fired. But your talking euro so your cousin isn't telling the truth or amazon works different there.
