Still not much happend so we have to wait... but still only 12 episodes....
Fuck the fan base. I never consider the fan base as a factor when I'm watching a show.
But it terms of the story wise and content, there are very few (at the time it was released) shows that had something like that. There's a reason why its being sold so well. The story line keeps people interested and because of that, it's not shit at all. If AOT is shit, then what's considered mediocre? What's considered good?
If you put AOT at the bottom from the get go, the whole anime rating scale gets instantly fucked because there aren't that many good shows around to make a solid rating scale.

I liked it, just feel like it will never live up to the hype, especially with the time it seems to take to release a small amount of episodes.
I've read the manga so I'm just waiting for shit to start happening then I'll start watching.

I like the source material. Basically follows the idea that there is always an ironic suffering in everything with the more information you have. The origins of the titans that have been killed by the main characters and have killed the main characters. The truth behind the government of the walls. The nature of the origins of the thinking titans. The true history of the world everyone is in, etc
The more information we get, the more existential realizations about what has happened becomes apparent. Now I can't look at season 1 again the same after reading the manga.
Too bad season 2 is only 12 episodes. It can't really dive into the arc it is currently in well. The arc it is currently in can only work if it is followed up by hte arc after it (cause it is meant to add onto the next arcs which has far more action in them)
