Refunding iPhone with carrier?

So i'm going to purchase an iPhone 7 the red one, want to refund it. i was wondering if purchasing it with my carrier would be blacklisted if so? with T-Mobile or should i just buy it without carrier?

Thanks, but do they do any type of investigations?? I did empty box method and I got the refund the same day. I got the 7 plus And it's still clean so should I wait till it's blacklisted and then whitelist it? Or can I start using it now until it becomes blacklisted, also any risks??? Just wanted to know, and is there a risk if I use the phone in the meanwhile before it gets blacklisted on my SIM card?
