Do you watch anime with your friends or family?

I found my self insecure about my anime endeavors. After constant reinforcement of things I once would consider stupid or boring I feel like I've achieved a state of being that is beyond regular plebs. All that I've learned from anime and all the things I've felt hold me back from expressing how I feel about anime to others. When you walk around and talk to the regular pleb they might start talking about Princess layla and the empire but when you ask them what anime that is they look at you like you're stupid. I feel like people just don't understand anime, they consider it foreign or a cartoon. I feel like anime is more so a story or art than it is a simple animated movie. When you can convey such vivid detail about things the audience really gets a feeling for the anime. It becomes apart of peoples lifes, their childhoods, what they look forward to every week, etc..

So with that being said, does anyone watch anime regularly with others? I don't mean watching some anime movie with a whore, I mean actually watch one piece from ep 1 to 750 something with the same person. I feel like that's a really big step for any two people to take. Just wondering if anyone's actually done it.

I watch it by myself. I don't like watching things with other people because I can't pause/go back on certain scenes to understand it better. Plus I'd rather go at my own watching pace.

My friends discuss anime all the time though. Nothing wrong with that.
