im fairly sure weed itself isn't lethal as long as it isn't laced with shit.

but that's the problem, if you buy from the street there is no way to be sure if it's laced or not.

Probably not. I currently have never tried weed, I will certainly try atleast once when it comes legal. Until than not touching it with a 10 foot pole

I have tried it, but didn't feel any different, except for the fact that I felt my eyes water like hell. Wasn't too fun.
