ddos attack on rotmg

this player is apparently crashing all the server while playing some games with the community
he basically gives out quests for items and if players dont deliver those items withing a certain time window servers goes down for at least few hours. game seems to change from time to time too.

deca says they aer aware of it but what they can do is limited since they are not at work(working from home)
they said it should be fixed for now but that was like 10h ago and this dude is still going. i mean his account isnt even banned yet.

well i personally think its funny how he interacts with the community and doesn't just go well fu*k you all i will just ddos every server there is until deca comes back.

any thoughts? does anyone have any more info on this guy etc?

side note: he doesnt to be in game to take the servers down so its not an exploit.

idk why you all hating so much on him. you got to give him some style points tho for playing that game. i mean every other ddoser would just take it down for few hours. he actually interacts with the community etc. yes ofc its sad that it actually happens but since it already is happening and there is nothing we can do to stop it why not just chill out and play along with him/her you wont die if you dont play rotmg for a day or two :P

Cause he thinks he's funny, and people that get in rage only fuel his entertainment so the kid is happy seeing raged people. This is the typical cancer person of all games.

The thing that I'm not so sure about is that it's a DDOS, as I said on reddit, if it was a DDOS, then why did everyone disconnect? Wouldn't it just be an exploit because the whole server crashed and wasn't a lag issue?

well me and some ther ppl assumed it was ddos since he didnt have to be on the server(with his character) to take it down. but at the same time he could apparently target individual players too. and all that happens apparently because of the ip addresses so only logical thing is that it was indeed a large scale ddos attack. but its hard to tell as its like nothing we have seen before. also the attacks where taking place before the ip adresses leaked. i believe it was ever since friday. and many other similar crashes have been happening where whole servers where geting 10 min dc for a while now. so maybe this dude has been developing whatever he used for a while and just now he tested its full potential. but one thing is sure. this dude is swatsec 2.0

but those are just my speculations based on what i know and have seen so far.
