The state board of education in Texas decides what does into the curriculum for their students and decides what textbooks to order for multiple states. The problem is that several of the conservative reps on the board have been voted out of office, but their term doesn't end until the end of the year. So their trying to fuck up as much shit as they can while they are still in power, the social studies curriculum is being raped by removing or mitigating the study of Thomas Jefferson and the enlightenment. Don't even get me started about what they're trying to do to their biology textbooks regarding evolution.
