Like I mentioned in the other thread, replace the 6600k with a 1600. You get a decent stock fan with that so you can drop the Evo. Up the RAM frequency to 3000 w/ the saved money.
Edit: You will also need to replace the mobo if going w/ Ryzen.
CPU: Intel - Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ SuperBiiz)

can it be a 1600x?
First off, new thread, really? XD
6600k Is good sure, would have liked to see 7600, or 7600k, but if you're set on out then go ahead.
7600 is fifteen bucks less, and has a lower tdp, meaning it should run cooler too.
If you are actually planning on overclocking then you could get the unlocked 7600k for 9 bucks more then the 6600k, and you'll be getting .3 GHz more clockspeed. No real reason to get the 6600k, but I'll assume you had some reason for it.
Solid popular cooler. Should do well. Probably won't be overclocking much with it, so another reason to get a non s variant of a processor, but you could squeeze a little more if you tried.
Full sized motherboard, not entirely necessary but feel free to. As I said in the other thread you, personally, won't lose out on much if you got a micro at board, since you're not going for dual graphics cards anyways. (I mean I have a micro and I did dual graphics cards anyways, but ymmv)
Ram is ram, not gonna notice much difference with different ram types,so just getting a reliable brand will be good enough. I've never had a problem with gskill, and I hear they're reliable. 120 the add is nice.
SanDisk should be fine.
Western digital is a mixed bag. I don't have much experience with them, but I've heard good and bad things about them. Should be ok.
Don't have the stats or anything on the 580, so this could be the weakest point, but the 580 should be fine on all titles in 1080p, I don't think that'll be the case in five years as you said in the other thread, but it'll be good for a time. You'll probably get your money's worth.
I don't do cases really.
Solid psu brand.
No, just no. Your motherboard has wired already. I think you maybe meant to get a wireless adaptor? Even then, make sure your motherboard doesn't come with anything. I was surprised when mine did. On mobile so can't check for you that easily.
144 Hz monitor? What games do you play? The 580 probably won't be able to utilize the monitor with more demanding titles, unless you turn down some settings. And at least get something with freesync if you're going amd. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BV1XBEI/ 20 bucks more, but you get freesync. Worth it, trust me.
I guess you're like me and aren't picky about peripherals.
Lmk any questions

If he was gonna get the 7600k (instead of 6600) but dropped it for the 1600, that's 10$ for the cpu and 27 for the cooler. That's 37$ saved, but .6 to 1 GHz drop in clock speed. Not worth it imo.

The performance in games is nearly identical in most games, but we have to take into account that the 1600 is only using 50-70% of its full power, while the 7600k is usually pushed to the extreme. Here are some side to side comparisons of the two:
Also, the AM4 socket is unlikely to be replaced for another 3-4 years since it's relatively new and he can upgrade while keeping his mobo, whereas the 7600k LGA1151 socket will be replaced soon.
True, am4 should be around for a while, but I'd think he'd probably upgrade his graphics card before his processor. I know someone with a 5 year old Intel and a 4 year old amd and they still run every game just fine.
Also that video shows that the 7600k did better gaming in general while the 1600 did better in extremely physics intense games. Only a few for or so. But also I think his gpu will bottleneck before his cpu.

Not bad, although I would never go with AMD (personal preference), but it's up to you!
