Yeah sorry for not clarifying. I mean't your partner in life not your mother who gave birth to you. :/e. Basically I am asking you guys if a wife should support her husband or her children first. (The kids come after marriage). I ask this question based on a indian movie I was watching.

I think he meant your partner should be a wife before a mother. Which is OP's fault because he didn't specify which way he meant (Whether your mother is more important than your wife, or whether your partner should be a mother or wife first)

The moment the child is born into the world, I believe both parents should be parents first (putting the child first) rather than spouses first.
