that board should only have Sata III ports so one port won't perform better than the other, just drop the HDD into sata port 1 and forget about it
I want to maximize the speed of my HDD and plug it into the fastest SATA port but the manual is super weirdly written. I don't understand it. I only have a HDD and DVD drive with sata ports (I don't have an SSD). So which port should I plug my HDD and DVD drive into to get the fastest speed for my HDD and second fastest for my DVD drive?
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-Z270M-D3H
I have a sata express port and multiple SATA 3 ports
that board should only have Sata III ports so one port won't perform better than the other, just drop the HDD into sata port 1 and forget about it
ports wont make a difference since all are sata 3 and all are the same speed, just plug it in a port you like and youre fine

If possible plug HDD into SATA port 1 and CD drive (No idea why you have one) into 2

oh i would definitely recommend getting an ssd, even if its only 128gb, but everything will be a lot faster
and for an HDD it wont change anything aswell, since the HDD is so slow in read/write performance that i wont even use full bandwidth of the sata 3 interface
so you can just plug it in any sata3 port and youre fine
