The swastika was not invented by Nazis. It is an ancient religious symbol in parts of Asia and a symbol of good luck in the west (until the nazi utilization of it made it a stigmatized symbol). That is why you have heard that is a symbol of peace and spirituality.

Furthermore, Nazism is not a "perfectly fine political standpoint" because race and nationality being a source of superiority is embedded in its view. To suggest otherwise is to ignore an extremely important focal point of the ideology.

It is like if you were to outright deny that the Confederacy wasn't founded on the illogical idea of enslavement when it is in fact the major thing that CAUSED their distrust of the north "Black Republicans" who were elected.
