Ak-47 been around for years, sense I was a child, I think it started being used in Vietnam war, maybe before, in Afganinstane by the Russins, AK are commonly made by many countrys of communist control. Its a cheap gun to make, and I call it a mud gun, cause in 1 of the few guns that can be drop from about 10 feet and still work, caked with mud or not. short range, but not accurate, does not jam that much. Effective range should be about 200 yards and less.

M16 was developed for use during Vietnam, American made colt, commercial is AR 15,
shots 5.56 or otherwise know as 223 round, its an over powered 22. small round designed not to kill but to hurt, causing more then 1 person to be taken out of combat, because someone carries out the injuiredd. The bullet is easily deflected by grass and wind in real life. as much as over 10 feet on targets. That's is us military issue. M16 has been modified about 4 times from the start. the 1st m16 was know for jamming easyily, and also backfiring killing many that shot them. in real life you can shot an m16 like a pistol, there actually very light, the barrels are easy to bend, so not many special force units in the us use them. Nice mod in real life, is the grande launcher attachment to them, single shot. Reason behind the grande launcher, is not many can toss a granade 100 feet, most can only throw about 40 feet. Marines qual at 800 yards or 500 meters with the m16 as standard, its 200, 300, and 500 meters. Army qual is 300 meters and Navy is 300 meters only for seals, and seabee's 200 for regualar Navy. Other then special ops air force airforce, and mps for the airforce, most will never shot airmen will never shot anything but pistol or shotguns.

P90 has an effective range of a pistol, about 25 feet with any accuracy.

Shotguns as whole, are not know for any distance, The double barrel sawed off, is 15 feet effective, at 20 feet you can laugh at someone shoting at you. That is cause how fast the shots spreed.

All guns in real life shot with an arc at distance. 50 cal machine gun and sniper have the longest of all distance with being effected by an arc or dropping. both of them will shot about 1700 yards with less then a 3 foot drop in the round. but at further targets the drop are larger.

MP5 is a short range and usually used for in hostage situations. Short range, effective, where those on teams are trained to shot anybody standing up. go in and spray fires small rounds 9mm, so it takes many rounds to kill someone.

Uzi, and mac10's are know for jaming, and not being effective weapons on the battlefield, or even in police or riot situations. They are not effective, but movies have portrayed them as being used alot by the drug runners, and bad guys. So they are popular because of the movies.

M14, is a strong riffle, not in class with an ak or m16, M14 is a riffle, that is good at what it does, it can be used well against targets 1400 yards thats what the old marine qual was done with the m14. But its not a fast shotting weapon, and not designed for close quarters combat. M14 is more designed from the WW1 and WWII style of fighting, thats the same type of fighting we did in the civil war and revolustionary war. Thats we dig a line and fight in a line, the enemy also fights in a line. Think of people standing a block away, shooting at each other. Thats basically how the tactics where back then.

G36, I never fired 1, is germen designed, used by many European military, There is debate about replaying the m16 with G36 for us military. They shot the same rounds, but the G36 has advantages over the m16, such as the built in scope, infact, you can get 2 built in scopes with it. Its lighter, also, the way they have the mag is more efficent in a combat situation. As far as how the G36 works it works on the same idea as the m16 gas operated spring feed. So the same as the m16 as it will not shot well clean, and will have high carbon build up that will effect its fire. All 22's have that problem, too clean shot like crap, too dirty also fire like crap.

Laws RPG's and M32 grenade lauchers. Laws RPG's are not used effectively on personal, they are designed to work against equipment, tanks and vehicles. The M32 grenade laucher, is a 3 person weapon fired from a tripod, or mounted, it is not a individual carry weapon as in game.

A note about Machine guns, 50 cal, m60 and so on. every 3 round is tracer round. Any and all fully automatic guns draws the attention of the enemy. The life expecdance of a person firing a Machine gun, is less then 5 seconds once he starts firing. Only those deamed expendable are assigned to those guns.

The only pistols I touched when I was on active duty was 2 different types of 9mm, 45, and a 38 revolver. The 38 was when I was on commercial flight too and from the golf war. I was had with me during the golf war, m16 w/launcher, 9mm pistol, 38 pistol, and bolt action 50cal sniper. I was TAD at the port of Jabel, I drove a honda accord, and a bullet prof Land Rover, and was assigned as VIP escort, while serving as the assistant G4 admin chief. I was the only member of my minor and major command to serve in the golf war. Those that understand what VIP escort is, understand what I am referring too.

Now real life gun situations, short barrel means lose of accurcy, short barrel also means lighter gun, but also means shorter effective range of the gun. Things that effect a gun, is the quality of the bullets used, how many grams of powder, and the constant quality and weight of the projectile. Also, the tung and grove of the barrel, (thats turns and twist inside the barrel that cause a bullet to spin in a football like spiral, the reason that muzzle loaders, and shot guns are not long range weapons for years neither had any groves to cause that spiral of the projectile.

Now things to take into consideration, is mass produced guns are not usually made of equal quality, a standard m16 by has a tung and grove of 6 turns/inch of barrel, where as a compitition barrel has 9 turns and there for more accurate. The diff in pricing is almost double. Where as the commercial, or public model the AR 15 only has 4 turns in that same inch. Law enforcement normally is only able to purchase the public models of any guns. Those that shoot professionally do not buy their guns at wal mart, or any of the public chain stores, they have them made for them, special order. Many professional shooters, load their own rounds, and will even re-tool their weapons.

The standard AR 15 can be made fully auto, with the filing of the hammer, and a few washers, and changing the spring in the bolt carriage.

Now about shooting positions, we all know that prone position is more accurate in real life, with the sitting being next, then the nealing, and last being off hand or standing position. I do not know what the army teaches about the sling, but the marine corp teaches using the sling in a way to pull the weapon tighter to your arm, so that your arm becomes more stable for shooting. We all seen alot of John Wayne style of shooting in most military movies. The truth is holding a pistol sideways, reduces the accuracy of the pistol. Just as holding your hand far out towards the barrel also makes a riffle less stable to shot, and less accurate. Tripods add weight to guns. The bullshit you saw in rambo, shooting a 60 cal machine gun is bullshit. normally any gun being fired rabidly will raise and rise up as its being fired. Guns that jump with tripods are too light and need a heavier tripod to reduce the recoil.

Now in game we all use a 2 or 3 slot backpack, for carrying weapons, the real world is nothing like that. m60 is a 2 person gun, the 50 cal machine gun is a 3 person gun. the saw, requires 1 machine gunner, and 1 person to carry the extra ammo, plus their m16. Special force teams will all normally be trained as sniper, but usually you will only have 1 person using a sniper, 1 person with a heavy machine gun, thats a saw usually, lighter then an m60 but heavyer then a m16. fires same rounds as an m16. Depending mission as to what weapons are used. Many of the us special forces uses the m16 short or slide stock. People are not moved around from team to team, they live togather, the learn each other. They know what each others farts and bo smells like. They learn all the idiocies of each other. Many of them train for well over a year with each other daily, before they are ever placed in real situations. Now about the each special forces of us they each server a purpose. They all receive the same training, special forces command was combined in the late 80's. But the roles they play are different, Army teams, usually go and gather intel, they sit for weeks behind lines. Navy, is about getting in and out fast, mostly they are demolitions. Marines go after rouge teams. Airforce is the only 1's that go in with codes for nukes.

Now I am going to tell you another thing there are different oaths of enlistments, The army navy, and air force all take an oath to congress within their oath. The Marine Corps takes an oath to the constitution.

A few other things that most people do not know about, the president has the authority to send 200,000 troops without congress consent. Also their is only 1 branch of the military that has direct access as well as is responsible for and 2 the president. At no time in history has the Marine Corps ever had over 200,000 members. Also in case you did not know the Marine Corpse birthday is Nov 10, 1775, that is before we declaired independance from England. It took an act of congress to estiablish the Navy, the Army, and latter the air corp that became the air force, the air corp was started with the army.

I will ask you know to flame my spelling its 5am here, So I am tired.
