There are people who can act totally mature,

and who are younger than 18.
The point is because other kids from their age screw up, they get an bad name.

The way it would be setup is that people under 18 cannot see the section at all, idk if special users will be admitted but i don't think so. All the basic rules apply, no advertisement, no porn, no disrespect of staff etc. It will be 18+ bc of possible explicit material, and the discussions simply wont relate to younger kids, it is also done for legal reasons, we don't need some chooby's parent suing the site for not carrying the appropriate warnings.

We are looking for a plugin, that locks the age, thus preventing users from simply changing their age. I have already found a plugin that will make it so that only users of a certain age on can even view the forum.

It's still in planning so don't expect this by tomorrow, etc, right now this thread is to see if the idea has merit with older members.

well i think its not so much the 18+ but the maturity level.
i say 18+ and certain user with a hgih enough maturity level that can be admitted

Since were using a plugin, it will check your age and allow you to view it or not. I'm not sure if there is a way of allowing exceptions.

Yes and no, considering if we go by maturity, almost no one in the site would be able to see it, like I said it is done for legal purposes as well. Also as far as maturity, who's to judge? I'm guessing some exceptions can be made somehow, but that's about it. It is also done so people still go to general section for discussions.

Perhaps you can make an launge for respected members and people that they like,
but if you do that it kinda turns into an VIP area.

Ppl can still select that their over 18+.

Make them show there ID with a sign of there user name from mpgh to show your 18.
