First 2 replies were not really necessary, he's searching for someone that knows how to fix this, he isn't looking for people who don't.

Try updating your DirectX and Graphic Card Drivers.

Happened to me once in CS 1.6. I had updated my graphics card drivers, but somehow there were 2 installed or conflicting with each-other. I just re-installed the drivers I think, but I might have uninstalled then re-installed.
