it doesnt matter which version you use.
You need to copy the files to the correct archives (iw_00.iwd, iw_01.iwd etc).
put back your backups and try again

The skin for the Golden .44 is exclusive to the .44, renamin files wont work at all.

Golden camo is coming in 1.6
