no u wont be able to see the exe but it will be running in ur task bar...
If u have winvista/7 homepreium and above than u already have aero otherwise i think that u cant get aero on 7 starter unless u upgrade

on windows visata/ 7 its already there, search for in apperance and personalisation.
Nothing pops up before you load the game.
Did the directx work?

uhh not sure i dont know what to look for on the task manager. but the menu still did not show.

task manager? just start the exe, and then run mw2 in windowed mode.
im going to sleep now, if you still dont get it too work, ill help you out tommorow.
