When the gasses from the sun mix with the gases from all the other planets, it creates a substance that will basically fuck the shit out of us. The good thing is that we're close to the sun that the gases will fucking miss us.

Also the fact that if you think about it, it's like an eclipse, but with all the planets. Think of a normal eclipse. You can't look at it, right? Well wtf will happen when all the planets align, not just the sun+moon.

In OTHER words, it's a big group fuck with the planets, and they're all gonna orgy at the same time.

Actually, Scientists ( Meteorologist etc ) have one very good reason for the end date;
The sun, the earth, the milkyway. There is a giant blackhole in the center of the milkyway, but on the 21st of dec 2012, there is this thing called the galactic alignment which means that the sun, earth and the center of the milkyway all line up ( galactic alignment ) and the pressure of the black hole will force the sun to explode ( to much pressure on the sun ) which will obviously destroy the earth :| Bullshiat.
