Is it normal to be able to play again after restarting the game after I've gotten the message "cheat detected"?

Let me explain:
I got "disconnected" from server and it said "Cheat detected", I pressed "ok" and closed the game. Now when I start up the game, it doesn't say anything and I seem to be able to play.

Does the ban get delayed or something. Is it going to come later on?
