How to reduce you're in-game lag and ping!

I know this has already been posted but they're are many different methods and I would like to share mine.

    Here we go
    1. Close all unnecessary background programs you may have going while playing CF
    2. Make sure not hidden spyware/virus is using you're bandwidth instead of you
    3. Get a better bandwidth connection
    4. Go to task manger and you will see lots of processes in the processes tab, Close the unnecessary such as "DVDAgent" for an example
    5. Use Game Booster if really low
    6. Remove .Rez files
    7. Play games with not a lot of people in them.
    8. Run a virus scan before running CF
    9. Plug directly into you're router.

Thank you for reading and I hope you find this useful

.Rez files are the texture files of Crossfire.

People use this as an opportunity to see Ghost's while other's use it as an opportunity to reduce lag.

I use GameBooster, It's really useful. But i can barely play anymore because of the "Disconnected due to incorrect map info". Admins should really fix it. Many ppl are going to quit because of it.
our problems aren't caused by what we don't know but what we know ain't so.

Closing down system processes that dont use the internet will now lower your ping. It will however lower your FPS and make your computer run faster, meaning if your using a memory intensive game it could lower your ping. Crossfire is not a memory intensive game but this is a great general guide for all games. Good Job Godlike.

    8. If your FPS is low get a new graphic card
    9. make a virus, cookies, spyware scann befor you play
    10. If all of the above dont work, restart your PC

The number 8 helped me alot and scanns are always good for your PC
