    Disabling Sounds

Before the latest patch it was really easy to disable the annoying sounds in the lobby and at the end of the round etc... By changing the name of the map called ''miles'' to ''dismiles''.

But after the 1.1.195 patch this isnt possible anymore, so my question is : does anyone knows how to disable those sounds?

When you get the patch/map pack, if you have the "miles" folder named to something else at that instant, the game will re-download "miles" and every file in there because it assumes that your miles folder is missing. Just delete the old miles folder, and rename your new one to something else.

Perhaps you could try renaming the files inside there (mssmp3.asi and mssvoice.asi to mssmp3.bak and mssvoice.bak , for that you need to make sure you get to change their extensions.

the game checks the file by an crc checksum (atleast for the textures + sounds in the main folder).
