DLL missing and regsvr32 won't work?

was missing the d3dx9_42.dll and the msvcr100.dll files.
so i downloaded them, and unzipped into
C:\WINDOWS\system32
then Start> Run> regsvr32 d3dx9_42.dll
and get this error:

d3dx9_42.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered.

Help please?

Just paste the files in the system32 folder, then restart your computer.

Go to the Run item on the Start menum, and type:

regsvr32 <path & filename of dll >

still getting the same message when using the file path
