MW2 installed on differnt directory-hacks not working

I torrented MW2 using the SKIDROW torrent, which placed the game in c/program files/activision/modern warfare 2 instead of the steam directory. I have tried all the hacks for AlterIW on this site, and none work. I think it may be because of the different directory that the game is run off of.

Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

That's not the problem
because my mw2 file isn't in the original directory either and the hack works .
