Theres been many discussions about the Sniper Rifles. That is why I post this.
This information is what the files say.
All Snipers have the exact same base damage. Which is 70. Snipers are not affected by range. And a person has the Health of 100 in normal games, and barely 30 in Hardcore games.
Perks that affect Snipers:
Stopping Power: gives a multiplier of 1.4x every shot which means every sniper rifle does 98. If you use Stopping power you multiply 98 with the body multiplier.
Sleight of Hand: The Pro part of this is critical in quickscoping, since without the perk in Pro you dont ADS as fast as you would with it in Pro.
Steady Aim: Gives you better noscoping and in Pro it gives longer time holding your breath.
Attatchments:
FMJ;
FMJ does not add more damage, it only gives you better penetration, similar to the "Deep Impact" in CoD4: MW.
Silencers;
Silencers decreases the damage to 50.
ACOG Scope;
The ACOG scope has lower zoom than the original scope, but you aim down the sight faster. While using this scope you cannot hold your breath, which makes the Pro part of Steady Aim useless, youre better of with some other perk.
Thermal Scope;
The Thermal scopes zoom is similar to the original scope, and you aim down the sight faster than the original, I prefer this scope for Quickscoping.
The Snipers in general:
The Intervetion and the Barrett are very similar to eachother, the only noticable diffrence is that the Barrett is semi-automatic. The Intervention has the mag cap of 5, while the Barrett has the mag cap of 10. The Intervention also has the reload time of 2.28 seconds and the Barrett has the reload time of 3.95 seconds.
The WA200 has the slowest raise time and lowering time (changing to a secondary and picking up the sniper). It has a mag cap of 6 and a reload time of 3.4 seconds. The WA2000 is also semi-automatic.
The M21-EBR is a semi-automatic sniper rifle with the mag cap of 10 and a reload time of 2.7 seconds.
Body Multipliers:
This is the most important part, this is what decides one hit kills and two hit kills.
The Intervention and the Barrett has the same Body Multipliers:
Head:1.5x
Chest:1.5x
Stomach:1.1x
Limbs:1.0x
The WA2000 has these body multipliers:
Head:1.5x
Chest:1.5x
Stomach:1.0x
Limbs:1.0x
This means that Stopping Power will not affect this weapon. Youre better of with Hardline or Cold-Blooded.
The M21-EBR body multipliers look like this:
Head:1.5x
Chest:1.1x
Stomach:1.0x
Limbs:1.0x
Which makes the M21-EBR the weakest or all Sniper Rifles. This Sniper Rifle will only kill someone with one shot if you shoot them in the head. With Stopping Power you will kill someone with one shot if you shoot them in the head or chest, otherwise the you will have to shoot them twice.
Thanks and +rep if I helped
