MW2 WON'T start!

Whenever i open MW2 multiplayer, it just sits there displaying the splash screen. When i go to the taskbar and click on it, it gives me the error shown in the attached picture. I can only close it with the task manager. What's really pissing me off is that when I look in the MW2 folder, "localization.txt" and "iw4mp" are right there in it. I've tried restarting my computer, deleting and re-downloading MW2, and i dont know what to do. Steam and single player work fine. Can anyone help?

This happened to me a few times. Verifying the game cache will correct it.

Well pretty obvious that you dont have loalization.txt

delete localization.txt, and then vertify gamecache

the splash screen thing happens to me alot, it has to do with your playlist files. go to program files>steam>steamapps>common>call of duty modern warfare 2>zone>english then scroll down till you find mp_playlist and mp_playlists_dlc1 move those to the recycling bin just encase it doesnt work for you. but if im right those files are corrupt and when u start mw2 it will work and jsut download the new replacements for those.
