So, I haven't been to this site in about oh... 2 years, give or take.
I used to do graphics here on a daily basis, and I decided, hey, since i'm here.
Mightaswell give it another go.

I haven't done anything like this in a while, so I didn't expect it to be great, but here it is.

I am a big hardcore fan, so if anyone else here is, you might recognise the band.
The title of the piece comes from the name of 50 LIONS' latest album.

The difference between the blurring and the sharpen is too great and makes the piece looks wierd. But not bad for your first after a break :P

Depends on your context, if someone is talking about rock style music (or punk, w/e i mean that general genre) and they mention hardcore you automatically know they're talking about hardcore punk/rock etc. Same goes with electronica.

Hardcore is primarily a genre of punk rock, with influences from metal. Bands like Floorpunch, Youth of Today etc started it. Secondarily, it is a genre of electronica / house.

But anyway - OP, your sig is decent. But yeah, bit too much depth contrast. Still I like the idea. As for 50 Lions - they're not bad. Like, nothing ground-breaking or revolutionary, but they're not bad. Saw them a couple weeks back and they brought a pretty intense show.
