The Mayans never said it'd be the end. Their calendar simply said that on that date a 'change' would be had.

Westerners decided to interpret that as armageddon and spread the news around as such.


Only religious freaks take it seriously.

I gave a persuasive speech on this topic, my take of it all was; it's all crap. The teacher tried to ask me questions like 'So all the natural disasters that are happening now, what would you have us dismiss them as, then? Coincidence?' at the end. He is a religious man and believed the exact opposite of me.

However, think what you will. It's highly unlikely, but we can't be 100% sure until the day comes.
