Call Of Duty 4 CD Key problem :/

Okay... I am really pissed right now. I'm a former *** forum user so i came here cause its the most similar but, now i bought CoD4 steam version, played for a couple of hours, got back in, guess what? It tells me my key code isn't valid and that i have to re enter it to validate it. Now i have no idea where it is. I searched my email, in case a key was there from steam, even looked at properties. Nothing. If you guys have any idea where i could find it... tell me.

i understood right? u have the retail version of cod4? dont you have a cd case where a little manual with the cd key written on the back is?
if not open regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Activision/cod4
then u will see an entry with codkey and the key after it

Nope, steam version. And yes, already tried that. All i found in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Activsion/cod4 is a (default) file. And under data it says value not set.

hmm u should contact steam because when buying games on steam they will add the game to your account and then you can play :/

No no no no no. Let me explain. I bought a steam version, installation was ok, played for a little while. Exited out. Took a break. Got back in and it said that it said that the cd key is no longer valid. The game is on my list, but should i ask steam support for a new cd key? Valid one.

lol... i entered the game to try something and it just said my stats were reset (used EA btw) then i tried to join a server and it worked. And i didnt even do anything. Hehe, thanks anyway man.

Maybe EA fucked up something in your CoD 4. Did you use EA before that became fixed?
