Operational Intelligence
Kill Creek
Guerilla units received Intel detailing the movement of weapons and supplies and have ambushed a train near a railroad bridge. Members of the train crew managed to alert the UAF and a Counter-Insurgency Unit was immediately dispatched to the area. Meanwhile, the guerilla units have been ferrying suplies out of the area via the road beneath.
Kill Creek Tactical Assessment
Kill Creek is an extremely large map that’s roughly rectangular in shape with two open areas where the Alpha and Bravo bases are and the whole map is relatively open except for the train and the rocks. The entire area is a large amounts of stairs, bridges, trains, rocks and platforms on various levels.
The result is that it’s extremely difficult to move in a straight line without getting owned. Am I right? So the best technique is to camp above and rush from below. It’s very easy to lose sight of your enemy and it’s also very easy to lose track of your surroundings and have the enemy sneak up on you.
Here are some key tactics to remember on Kill Creek:
• Nest as much as possible when your above but move around when your below: If you’re a sniper, know where the good positions are on the map but don’t set up shop there. Set up a movement pattern that rotates between them. When you arrive, do a fast scan to see if there are any targets of opportunity and then move on. Stay in a sniper’s nest and someone will come up behind you and nail you. Never snipe when your near the river or truck as you will get owned.
• Beware of traps: The two main spots are the train and truck below are prime real estate for mines and turrets. They’re relatively hard to see due to the landcaspe people tend to charge around the corners without looking down or even behind trucks and trains or even inside them. Many a Combat Arms soldier has been lost stepping on a mine or has walked into a hail of bullets in these areas. Don’t let it be you.
• Switch to a Close Quarters Weapon in the enclosed area: A shotgun or a submachine gun as a secondary weapon will do wonders to keep you alive, as long as you remember to switch whenever you enter these areas.
• Beware the Spawn Shield: Both the spawn points for team matches – primarily Elimination– are quite close together (if your on top). It’s really easy to get caught by somebody charging out of their spawn still in their three seconds of immunity.
The Loadout
The following represents my suggested equipment list for operational engagements in “Kill Creek.” Note that this is not considered an “official” or even a “best” list of equipment. Soldiers are encouraged to experiment with different loadouts and trade strategy tips with one another on our official forums. For the novice soldier, this list will assist you in defining the equipment loadout that’s right for you.
Primary Weapon:
M416 CQB:The M416 CQB is a variant of the M416 outfitted with a shorter barrel, mounted reflex sight, and foregrip. The M416 CQB is optimized for close quarters combat on tight maps. The gun has relatively low power and a strong kickback. This is more than made up for by its fast fire rate. The M416 is also a decent mid-to-long range weapon and while you’ll do your share of up-close-and-personal combat, you’ll also be taking shots at people at range.
OR
G36E Valkyrie: A spec ops G36E variant with a custom camouflage designed for use in multiple environments. Performs on par with the standard G36E. So you can get both NX and GP versions. Very good gun with good damage in close and long range.
Secondary Weapon:
L115A3:Integrated with a suppressor to help obscure the sniper's location, the L115A3 further improves on the abilities of this powerful line of sniper rifles. This powerful one-hit kill rifle will be your best friend as you use its magnification feature to take out other snipers who have taken cover in one of Vertigo’s many sniper roosts. It also sports enough portability for some good hit-and-run sniping.
Pistol
G23:This is made of high-density polymers for superior, lightweight construction. Uses a 15-round clip. Given the tight quarters of Kill Creek, the G23 is a last-resort panic weapon. If you do manage to hit someone with it, you’ll want to make it count. It will take about 4-5 bullets per kill depending on the range but its fire rate is unbeatable.
Gear
Combat Vest:An updated version of the Medium Vest, featuring greater speed with no defensive penalty. The 4% speed bonus really comes in handy though on a big map like Kill Creek to avoid a bullet coming at you. Speed is life and every little bit helps. This has no drawback.
Tiger Stripe Camo:A Vietnam War-era camouflage emploted by soldiers of U.S. Special Forces. Ideal for use within jungles.
Cyclops Bandana:This Cyclops bandana is a scarf favored by members of Warcorp. It looks cool, but the most important element is the 7% speed boost.
Skull Mask (Flames):A bullet-proof mask of reinforced alloy which provides some protection for the face from shrapnel and other hazards. Comes in a variety of designs. It provides headshot protection valuable when sniping.
Specialist Gear
Please note that these items may only be purchased and used if you’ve purchased a specialist character.
Auto Turret:An armed, deployable turret, the Auto-Turret is capable of automatically detecting and engaging hostile targets, providing instant support on the battlefield. There’s simply nothing better than watching unwitting enemies stumble into a hail of bullets. Its good to take out any enemies that are approaching to raid your base as your sniping. Hiding it behind the train is a good way to go.
I hope u guys enjoy this...Press thanks if it helped you and rep me. Good luck on the battlefield.
