.gsc files not showing up properly -_-

Right, I've opened up a .gsc file from mw2 via Notepad. **problem!

I open it and this shows up!

I tried opening it up in Editplus 3 and this shows up:

The first is Japanese or Chinese,the second is in Romanian. These are the same .gsc files, I've tried different .gsc files and fresh ones two (from cod4 maps) and I get the same thing. I've tried opening them up in every version of C++ that I have (I have all :P)

Can anyone help here?

You can't decrypt them really. Theyre encrypted so no one changes the work and makes it their own. They also want to hide the code. Odds are you opened Elitemod (I think thats the one in modloader that encrypted).

that's the problem though, I'm trying to make my own mw2 mod with the mod loader, FF viewer wont work, I'm using the same .gsc's that are needed for the mod, but still,..i fail

Use Scoutzknivez .gsc files to learn, not Realism Mod. You are not going to be able to decrypt that.

Yes....but can someone give me the .gsc files that I need or else can someone help me with .FF viewer. Other than that I can't do anything.

The .gsc files you need are the _rank.gsc in scoutzknivez. Look over that and you'll start to understand. And ffViewer is made for 360 modding, but you are required to gain another TU5 (Or TU6) patch_mp.ff file. GOogle it and download and use in ffViewer.

the problem is lockdown, the latest version (and previous versions) of FF viewer do not work on my computer.

But//I cants use FF viewer because it will not work on my computer, it just crashes. Yes, I am starting to understand how it's done via rank.gsc and thank you for that advice, but I can't do anything else.
