[SOLVED]Mw2 7gb Update
I logged into steam today and mw2 wouldnt start. Then I looked at the download section and found that both mp and sp were getting a 7gb update. This realy pissed me off as the time remaining was 7h and 30m. Does any one know what this is about and how i can stop it updating so i can ply mw2?

It probably means Steam isn't picking up either multi or singleplayer so its downloading a new set.

Most likely. You'd have to download the updates again but it should get rid of the 7gb download. My friend went through a similar thing. Originally Posted by coffee black

Unistall Modern Warfare 2 and re-install it with the discs if you have them. My friend had this problem this morning except his was 16GB worth of files. He re-installed, launched Modern Warfare 2, allowed Steam to update the files and voila! He's all happy again!
