Having this issue, I'm currently trying to reinstall MW2 to see if it will fix anything. Any other causes?

if u have the full update of alteriwnet. Go to your directory and open iw4mp.cfg with notepad or what ever... and where it says enable_updates "1"
change it to "0"

I've tried doing this but when I run the game it just tells me "iw4mp.dat" does not exist.

no...........the update changed it's name
he actually built the hack be4 the update so that's why the needed folder does not exist

The Updated Prog name now is alteriwnet

Im running iw2mp2.exe (i had to rename iw2.dat or something like that), and so this doesnt work.
