do hacks work on laptops?

im using the firegod hack with the red dragon injector and it works fine with my desktop, but it seems as if theres no way i can get any hack to work on a laptop.

I've made sure it met system req. and have all the latest updates like the tutorial says.. i've made sure its properly configured... i've tried different hacks and different injectors...

it just doesn't seem to work on any laptop.. i've tried on 3 different ones BTW.

it will load up combat arms and the injector will say its injected, but nothing shows up.

any clue?
