How to get a site on Google search engine

Does anyone know of a way to get your website to appear at the top of a Google, or any other search engine?

Pay google money, and they will put it higher in listings. It's about $0.50 per click per person plus $50 per month per county. (so doing it for the whole world would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars)

I know this is older than 7 days... but its full of bad information... So i will give the Tutorial.

To achieve your website in top placements, you need SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

It does not cost a penny for google to put you on the top slot. (Yes, Paying AdWords will put you at the very top advertisements..and on the side..but does not effect actual placement).

The way to get this, is to get backlinks to your website on others, with anchor text.

Now, it more so goes off of each domain. If you add it in your sig...its not going to do much help. Look into SEO tools to help you.

Yes , Search engine optimization is the way to go.

Match Content to Keywords. Keywords to domain (if possible)

Basically Meta information should match content and have a higher density then those above you.

What I do is search google for a term, lets say "Food"
Look who is in the top 10 .

Then I used keyword analytic tools to determine which keywords are more prominent on their site, then check the density (which is in the keyword tools as well) , After that, I will use the same top 10 keywords they use and optimize my sites content to exceed to their density (without spamming it, Google shuns upon it) I will also use the technique of bold(ing) the keywords, it shows google bots, that this keyword is important to your site.

After that, edit your meta data so keywords exist there as well

In Title it should include the keyword, I tend to use this tactic

Home - Food Site
Contact Us - Food Site

etc etc.

In the meta description, the key is to include the keywords, but to make the greater keyword appear second in the text.

Example: Great Food recipes can be found.....yada yada

Meta keywords should be no greater then 10 keywords trying to use one or two phrase keywords

Example ,

Food, Site, Food Site, Recipes, yada yada

Once done properly, wait a few weeks (google bot..usually crawls every 30 days or so) and check your ranking.

Rinse and Repeat.
