It's difficult to talk about chances of getting banned by VAC. Currently there are more than 10.000 users and no ban. Currently it's 100% undetected.
But who knows if VAC won't update someday and detect it. I would say that indeed there is only 1% chance that eventually VAC detects this hack.
It's more than 6 months now and Steam did nothing. So you are really safe.
