[Release] IWIFix v1.11

Hey all,

Just to make it clear for anyone that just doesn't get this app, it will, for texture modders, do the step where you must hex edit the file (Copy first 2 lines, add 4 0x00 bytes to 3rd, delete last 4 bytes) to as many files as you want in the click of a button. You must still fix the CRC. This app will not do that for you!


Anyway, I'm finally done updating IWIFix to v1.11, after a lot of work (see last thread).

But what's new?

Firstly I've removed the whole browse for files thing due to popular demand Now you browse to an "Original" directory, and a "New" directory. The app will go through all .IWI files in the directories and fix them.
It will also save your directories as defaults so if you always use the same directories, you won't need to browse to them every time!

Next, since I really haven't the time to study CRC and code my own CRC Fixer (and the fact that there's nothing wrong with SuperNovaAO's anyway), I've come to a compromise.
If you copy CRCFixer.exe to the same directory as IWIFix.exe, my program will automatically launch CRCFixer.exe after it's finished (if you want). It will stay running, allowing you to easily copy and paste the directories again.

If it comes across a file that is missing, it will seem to freeze for 2 seconds. It doesn't actually freeze/crash so don't get worried. It just stops briefly to let you know

Been looking at texture modding over the last few days and have noticed (as far as I can see at least), with all the tools available, there's none for fixing the IWI files, and you have to do it manually with a hex editor. Looks like a bit of a pain to me, especially if you have to do more than one, so I've coded a little tool that does the job for you.

( Removed bits that don't apply to v1.11 )

That tool also works but not on exact way iwi files should be fixed. But anyways ty.

What is it doing wrong?
It actually recalculates the raw image (+mipmap) data positions and sizes properly instead of just removing some bytes which technically corrupts the file format.

this dosent work for skins atleast its all ive tryed, the skin works woith no error, but pixelates the skin and you always get rainbow colors.
