Steam Played Time

Today while playing I came across a mw2 player with a clocked time of nearly 1.3k hours. This isn't the played time that you see from mw2 barracks, which I know can be editted.

I'm talking about the total time it says you played the game on your steam page. Just curious, how many hours have you guys clocked?

Also, I'm curious to know if it's possible to edit the steam played time for a game. I know it's probably difficult since logic tells me it's a server side stat. But just want to know if it's been done.

I know it's possible too change the played time in MW2 the game itself.

But from your steam homepage, it wouldn't tally. Or are you saying, its possible to edit the steam gameplay stats?
