[How to] Rush

Alright, well I was thinking about this and since im extremely bored,

What are we going to learn today:
Simple rushing basics
Beign stealthy and fast
Using the right weapon and the right moment to knife

First, lets get started with Basics

Rushing is basically running toward your enemy with a weapon and spray all over the place. WRONG!.

Rushing is a skill that not everyone can dominate.
First, do never walk straight into your enemy. That will probably cause you to be sniped or tubed by a noob. Also, never rush on a team of 2 guys or more, that may cause you to be shot and killed and waste precious score to your team. What you might wanna do is:

1st. If you are playing TDM, and there are really no objectives, the best thing to learn first is where they Spawn. Knowing where they spawn is a skill and an advantage to a rusher.

2nd. If you are playing an objective game mode, its never really good to go places where the other team currently is. The best thing is to distract them by capturing/going around them. If they are currently attacking C for example, you might wanna capture B and go behind them, causing them to be confused and help your team a whole lot

3rd. Going around people isnt easy if you are not stealthy, so wait for the RIGHT moment to rush and spray their asses ^^, also a rusher is a great enemy for a sniper, but watch out for claymores! I would recommend either having Ninja Pro to come closer to your enemies undetected or Scrambler Pro, a great perk for defeating Snipers and delaying Claymores. Also, confuses the other team scrambling their radar and surprising them.

4th. Using a LMG or a assault rifle is almost never good for a rusher. LMG causes you to be heavy, so dont even think using a LMG to rush. Also, i personally think that assault rifles are better for defending, and for medium range. The best weapon is a submachine gun. I dont care which one, any weapon with Extended mags is the best choice for a rusher. NOTE: EXTENDED MAGS IS VITAL FOR A RUSHER! Since you dont want to reload almost every second, and a rusher's point is to spray more than aim, i would recommend Mini-uzi for its power and accuracy with extended mags.
Secondary: hmm...this is a tough one. If you are playing Search And Destroy or a game that takes time to respawn(like capture the flag) I would recommend a pistol with a tactical knife. Since you dont want to be detected so easily and get to the flag/bomb place without beign tubed or killed, i would use a knife. But if you are playing TDM or a similiar game, i would go with a submachine gun. The best submachine gun for close range and a good damage is TMP. I would advise using Extended mags for TMP because:

Silencer: you wont need because a rusher doesnt need to be undetected on the radar...
sights: a TMP iron sights are the best SMG sights...so don't think about using this attachment
Akimbo: Akimbo attachemnt is horrible for TMP, because it reduces accuracy...
FMJ: Since you are rushing, you wont be shooting through walls very often, so keep this attachment away from this weapon




Well, before I finish this TUT, my recommended class would be:

Mini-uzi w/ extended mags
TMP w/ extended mags case miniuzi runs out of ammo or im in trouble
Throwing knife or Semtex(If you are really good at knifes, i would recommend to throw one, for medium range and snipers in high places. If you are not, just use a simple Semtex and that would do the trick(semtex is also good rushing behind a group of enemies))
Stuns(stuns are crucial for a rusher, since you move fast and when the person is stunned they cant move fast as you can )

Perks:
Marathon Pro of course
second perk is tricky. If you wanna be a quick rusher, i would recommend Lightweight, but if you are a medium range rusher, i would also recommend Stopping Power
Scrambler PRO or Ninja Pro (if you are a Sniper killer, go with Scrambler Pro, if you are a objective rusher, use Ninja)
Deathstreak( again, if you are a close rusher, use Martydrom, if you are medium range use Final Stand)

Killstreaks: i dont know if this would be much help, but here goes

UAV, to know exactly where your enemies are spawning(this killstreak might not help with Snipers)
Counter UAV(this is crucial for Rushers, since you want to be undetected and come behind enemies without beign spotted on the radar)
Third killstreak of choice, choose a harrier or chopper if you want ^^



TIP:

Watch Machinima videos for mw2. They have good tips even tho i think they take the game way too seriously xD. they teach you where people walk the most, where to keep your eye on when sniping and rushing too(thanks Stoshy, forgot that detail)

The other best solution to learn how to rush, machinima respawn vids. its on consoles (xbox ps3) but the posters have gr8 tips. like map attack vid. shows first blood points secret spots etc. check it out!
