    You can report cheaters (need proof tho), they will get an 'time- out'

    I think thats better instead of permabanning...
    You would quickly find out that temp bans have no weight. Trust me, we've been there, done that.

    I agree except for a few things.
    Server mods should be 100% allowed. No banning for that.
    Wallhacks + no recoil (aren't that bad (I use them :P)) should only be a 24 hour ban MAX.
    Cheat reports have to be really good, actual proof, not a screenshot of the final score or a video of 1 kill cam.
    If you need any help (doubt it, your a damn angel :P), just ask.

    I am starting to think PS MW2 is going to need some sub forums and some more minions, lol. ^__^

    If thats possible, I could host 12 hours a day on my good computer. (I can host 24/7 on my bad computer).
    It is highly possible to make a MPGH launcher that will download the ****i file.
    With that, changing server host will be a piece of cake. We will just need good communication skills and lots of trust.

    Doing that could also almost guarentee 0% downtime.

    I'm all for this, but all the hard work that has been put into Alter's servers will not been realized in any small private server that is hosted by someone else. The way that Alter makes there own MW2 "PATCH" is by creating a modified and hacked steam_api.dll. If we do not know what is in that, which we simply can't, because the .NET code is run through .NET Reactor, then we don't know how to implement the latest features. I am not a good enough coder to build by own steam_api.dll. If someone has access to the steamworks 1.09 SDK that would be great. But I fear that most of the people that have it, have it for legitimate purposes, and their companies purchased the ability to use it.
    The code base for the HTTP, match making servers are outdated, and would need a major reworking. I'm not sure, since I have not done any testing, that we could connect to the matchmaking servers with the latest steam_api.dll, which may mean, that newest DLC will not be available.

    I would have to seek NT and the AIW teams blessing, and see if he could provide some insight into making a very small private server, and see if he would be comfortable pointing me in the right direction.
    But I will ask him.

    Sorry, this is maybe a noob question, but maybe we simpoly have to change the server ip.
    Then a few trusted member (like me ) downloads the NO-IP Client and host a server. Why do we need to change the steam_api?
    Helped out over 5000 guys with my level trainer and other stuff.

    All of that is not really necessary.
    You can just get the old alterIWnet server application (Before the anti-cheat) and download the steam_api.dll that works with that.
    Then you can either have one host, or a few. You could have a few, by having like a team from different timezones and have them change every 8 - 12 hours.
    To keep the alterIWnet dot ini up to date, you will have to make a launcher that will download the a text file with the current hosts ip in it.
    With that you can make the program write to the ini file (Only changing the current server).

    And all of that could be easily done with VB.

    The only thing that will need to be done, is disabling the Auto-updater.
    I also think that more people would come to the MPGH server, A: Because there is only a temp ban, and B: The MPGH won't be chewing up your CPU and RAM with its AC.

    Anyway, if you could read all of that mess, I congratulate you.

    Thats where the anti-cheat is. (I think)
    All we need to do is get there older version (the one before aero was disabled).
    I believe there is no AC in that one and you can disable the updater.

    And I think my idea with the loader is an easier alternative to what you would like to do. It is possible, and might work a little better, but it will be hard to do. In the future, sure. I just think it might take a while to do.

    Just an idea, but what about having at least 2 servers? US and EU, seeing as anyone from the US will lag on EU and anyone from EU will lag on the US. And if I'm not mistaken MPGH doesn't use just 1 server (something about backups for redundancy or something)...

    Talking about servers I might have one or two that could spare some horsepower for another game server, what are the reqs?

    Please google No-IP. Some time ago AlterIWnet also used a no-ip server. Why do u want to make it so difficult?
    I mean the server can be 24/7 if you make a static IP .
