GFX section

I will be looking to reform the GFX section a bit better, also add some new blood to the team, with Shayne's help, hopefully we can get this section up to par and SOTW back in order, bc of right now, it blows. Any intelligent suggestions are appreciated.

I think the GFX team needs to be less of a hierarchy and more of a position.
What I mean by this is that simply being talented shouldn't cut it all the way.
Yes, that's a big part of it, but there's so much potential to entail more.
I say yes, to the talent, but also to the usefulness. Why do we just make tags?
I've seen some talk about making a new banner lately, I mean why not?
Show Dave we're not some people who wanted a place to mess around, whined when we lost our tags, got them back, and now do nothing with it, but that we can actually contribute.
GFX is much more than tags, some others and myself know that well enough.
I mean, look at Virus, he's making web layouts.
Maybe he could learn to make VB templates?
I'm not laying out a plan, I'm just bringing potential to light.
No, this isn't the only place I do GFX, but I still love this section. It has the best community and I have some friends here. And it's just fun.

I'm ready to see this grow.

I'm pretty good with stuff like banners, icons, buttons. Shit like that..
So I would certainly take a crack at making a banner.
Either way, there seems to be a lot of buzz in this section.
People seem pretty receptive to wanting to try some new stuff out..

yeah, actually i became GFX mod on this other hacking forum, i wasnt really that good. they just gave me a chance and i shined. P:

btw VB coding is hard nowadays, because of VB4, theres like tons of style sheets that have to be coded, so its a pain in the ass. so if he could find someone to code, or learn himself, then vb skins could be possible.

we don't really even have to have contests for these things, we could just do it of our own accord too. like if you really wanna make this place grow, why dont you just start it yourself, instead of having to entice people into doing it?

We'll host a banner contest.
We need to make a list of entrants though, maybe after applications of some kind.
This would have to be legit.

Ya, I know what you mean.
I don't have the time to learn VB coding...I'm just getting the hang of HTML and PHP.
But, I'm totally up for making a banner or whatever else and letting Dave implement it all.
