ohh the lag

hey guy,
i was wondering how i could play with less lag on mw2. most of the time its a good host, and im plugged stright into my moddem so i was wonder is there a setting i could change to stop the lag. i did play on alwin version and i looked so perfect and not laggy at all only steam is laggy

lower screen resolution (ingame optiions)
set windows theme to basic/classic
