    How To Stop Rezmodders (Written By An Ex-Modder)
    Reply Quote Favorites Stop Them Before The Modding Starts!

    Idea 1:

    Most rez-modders use REZextract or a similar program to remove the *** files from a .Rez file. Perhaps we could "lock" the .Rez files somehow, to prevent tampering.

    Idea 2:

    They then use a program called "LithConvert" to change the Nexon-*** Files into LithTech-*** Files. Why not change the *** Files into a different type of file.

    Idea 3:

    Then they use REZinject to put the files back into the .rez folder, and makes a "REZnew" file, why not block all .rezNEW files in the "Game" folder?



    Stopping While Loading:

    Idea 1:

    Perhaps they could make a program, that searches files for any abnormalities while loading.



    Stopping Ingame

    Idea 1:

    Ingame, it would help to have a faster, more efficient reporting system.

    Idea 1: A REZ file is basically a folder that is not accessible, you can't lock us out of it

    Idea 2: Different type of file? /Facepalm

    Idea 3: You can make a folder and name it like the REZ file and put the files in it and it would work the same.
