I put the AlterIWnet files into my call of duty directory in steam, and updated it. I can play the game and start mods fine; however I cannot invite anyone on my friends list, and no one can join me either.

How can I invite them?

u have to connect thru ip address in the console.

example type in console

connect 0.0.0.0 and u will join a friend. if u do it in the Find a Game lobby, u cuz will b in a party

Is there any other way? I don't want to have to get someone's IP every time I wish to start up a mod?

Sorry to double post but when I put connect (userip) in the console it just says "Unable to connect"...

your NAT has to be open so your friends can join you

My nat type is open, it shows on the main menu: "Your NAT type: Open".

It needs to be a External IP for you to connect just if you didn't know :P

I have done all this but when i type connect (ip) it says "unable to connect to host". What do i do ? no one can join my modded lobbys ?

no you need the latest files/updates, then follow the tutorials to joining people,
through connect IPADDRESSHERE.
