It's not for skinning, it's for rebuilding the original files that were put into the package (extracting, so to speak).

I didn't understand a thing from what this is. What does UT2004 have to do with A.V.A.? Why is an M24 looking like a rainbow cube? Why do every other gun appear like a black cube when i do this? So many questions...

AVA uses the Unreal Engine. That's what UT is based on (and that's also what generates most of Epic's income too).

I know ava is made un UE3, and i realized that UT is probably given as an example, but that program m_t_h posted is supposed to "show" you what the upk files contain, right? Then why do we only get rainbow cubes and black cubes and flower cubes? (yeah i got one with flowers i was like wtf)

i did some mistakes. you need to open UPK from original map. it works

Reread the manual + get the latest UED / UDK if you want more stuff to work with.
