holy shit i never thought of that mabye it could be possible haha nice
Hey guys... I was wondering, since you can plug a usb keyboard into a ps3, and it works, why cant the files be modded as an update to YOUR PS3 only, via a patchblocker, but the opposite, it gives a patch instead? and you press insert on the keyboard, and an in game menu pops up? along with it being able to be controlled by the arrow keys? Is this remotely possible?

Well if someone were to find a way, to code a program, to copy the contents of a PS3 harddrive, copy all of the contents over, edit the HELL out of the files, make it so the "Insert" key is a hidden menu activation key, then just make sure there is a patchblocker, that KEEPS the online capabilities in place, then you will have yourself some decent hacks... Well if you learn to code... Maybe learning the ps3 programming language?

You can do this with PS3 HDD studio, unfortunatly all the contents are encrypted. It is possible to decrypt the files but re-encryption is impossible due to the revolving encryption keys.
EDIT: Language used on the ps3 is very similar to c++, the language used on most ps3 games is GSC. You can access the game executables by decrypting your HDD, then extracting the game patch. Look into the game patch, and you will find the PKG. Open the PKG and you will find the MP.ff files. This is where the game exe. GSC files are stored. They can be edited with PS3 .FF viewer found easily on google.
