No sir you are the dumb one here. In any circumstance, you would never change the order of operations. If you do not know what PEMDAS means here is how its broken down. First, its parenthesis. If none of those it goes to exponents. Then, Multiplication or Division, in any order is fine(Considerably left to right). Then lastly, Addition and Subtraction, same thing as before any order is fine. SO YOU SIR ARE THE IDIOT.
Daum sun u got styled on. skeet skeet. /
/edit
I just took a algebra diagnostic test at school, OBVIOUS TROLL, Doing my equations with PEMDAS got my an 100 and a skip to algebra 2.

The answer is 5(P-2l)/2. Very simple algebra.
wow.... When dealing with Equations with A VARIABLE, you first:
1. Use the distributive proprety to get rid of parenthesis (in this case you are right)
2. Comine Like terms
3. Inverse Operations
You want proof?
here, directly from SPARKNOTES, and i bet they are way smarter than u :
SparkNotes: Expressions and Equations: Solving Equations Using Inverse Operations
and I quote them:
"The goal in solving an equation is to get the variable by itself on one side of the equation and a number on the other side of the equation.
To isolate the variable, we must reverse the operations acting on the variable. We do this by performing the inverse of each operation on both sides of the equation. Performing the same operation on both sides of an equation does not change the validity of the equation, or the value of the variable that satisfies it. "

If you dont know what inverse operations mean, im going to dumb it down so you can understand
substract / Add first
then Multiply / divide later
Then get rid of Exponents, but this isn't possible if you are doing it to a variable
THEN, get rid of parenthesis (does not include Distributive property)
wow...I wonder how you got 100 percent in Algebra :S
Did this really need 3 pages? I can't be bothered to read through it, this is how it's done (I tried to make it as simple as possible with all the steps shown):
If you want a quick explanation just send me a message on messenger or something. I've already done year 13 maths or something, I'm in something like year 12 now (dunno exactly how IB translates into your schooling system, I'm 17). But I'm a maths geek, I even had a few preps at our university for the mathematical olympiad /me (no, I didn't make it and then I quit cause I didn't have time ).
I'm Alen on Steam. RIP Skype Friday nights.

Okay okay, what the fuck, you dumb copy and paster. first you can atleast powerphrase it. INVERSE OPERATIONS and PEMDAS are not needed together. Inverse operations = The opposite of the operations SO. Subractions the inverse operation is addition DOESNT MEAN IT COMES FIRST. go play eck boc lie with your dumb friends and fail math and get retained and take remedial math. Combining like terms okay I agree, sometimes Id rather do the addition first does not mean the entire frickin' pemdas rule is voided. Parentheses first, exponents really dont matter when combining like terms, correct me if im wrong (x³ +x³ = 2x³). After this doesnt matter I guess you can add first or subtract first too make myself look smart, something your not, I follow the pemdas rule so it looks representable.
If im wrong fuck me, I still deserve respect because I didnt copy and paste like this ******.

never seen a problem like this
Your a fucking dumbshit, I got the same damn answer and you said it was wrong. Dipshit
